Project Description
Drawing inspiration from ancient Roman baths, this stunning indoor pool addition combines historical elements with modern technology. The stone base, piers, and barrel-vaulted roof evoke the grandeur of Roman bathhouses, while the extensive glazing and strategic positioning allow for a seamless integration of the surrounding natural light and landscape into the swimming experience.
The pool house features 50-foot-long glulam timber arches, which are bolted to a hidden, steel, moment frame. The project also features a state-of-the-art dehumidification system. At 30 feet wide by 60 feet long, the pool boasts an integrated raised hot tub on one side, offering a perfect spot for relaxing after a swim.
The project also showcases a commitment to sustainability. With geothermal wells to conserve energy and closed-cell spray-foam insulation, the pool house is not only beautiful but also environmentally friendly. Water conservation features have been integrated to minimize waste and make the most of the precious resource.
